What Our Parents Have to Say
Camp Funtime is the greatest place! Both of my children started when they were 3 years old and I never worried about their safety – even with swimming! The counselors and the Junior Counselors are so warm, caring, and conscientious. I was always amazed at drop off that everyone knew my kids’ names. Linda Stephenson is an amazing director who runs an incredibly organized camp with tons of fun…I couldn’t have picked a better name for this camp, and I can’t wait for summer to come!
During my son’s first summer, he told us that Camp Funtime was better that Disneyworld! He said that it was because he got to swim and eat a Popsicle every day. That was five years ago and we have been back ever since. Camp Funtime is affordable and convenient, and we are excited to send our third child for his first summer this year!
2010 was our daughters’ first summer at Camp Funtime, and they ask me everyday when they can go back! The camp provides a busy day of fun activities and singing, and the staff makes sure the kids are excited about the day because they are excited about the day. The girls were 5 and 3 1/2 when they started Camp Funtime. I ended up sending them everyday because they were upset if they missed anything. They loved themed days and seeing everyone dressed up, but swimming was their favorite activity. Camp activities involve lots of outdoor time and kid-driven fun, and that is why I think Camp Funtime was such a great experience for my kids.
Attending Camp Funtime for the past nine years has been a wonderful experience for both of my daughters (ages 15 and 13). They have made many good friends over the years and have enjoyed all of the great activities that Camp Funtime has to offer. Their favorites have always been sports and arts and crafts, and they love the field trips and over nights. I always know it is officially summer when they bring home their first lanyards. Camp Funtime has also provided them with an opportunity to learn new skills and develop new interests. This past summer, one child was a Junior Counselor and the other was a Camper in Leadership Training. Learning to work with the younger children and interacting with staff was a valuable learning experience for both of them. As both daughters get older, they will always have their wonderful camp memories. Thank you for everything!
Summer of 2010 was our daughter’s first time at Camp Funtime. She was getting ready to enter kindergarten in the fall, and we loved the idea of having the kindergarteners in a separate area of camp. She had never been to camp before and her Mommy was very nervous! But there was no need. There was never a morning when she didn’t get up excited to go to Camp Funtime. She didn’t cling to me when I dropped her off (unusual), and was always in the best of spirits with a popsicle in hand when she was picked up at the end of the day. She had so much to tell us about her day and couldn’t wait to go back the following morning. She went everyday and on every field trip. I always went to work feeling great about herday and knowing that every counselor was looking out for her and giving her lots of love and attention.
