Every Wednesday, Kindergarten groups and above have the opportunity to travel off-site and experience something new. We choose age-appropriate trips that coincide with the week’s theme. Because field trips are optional, not all campers choose to attend. As a result, our groups are typically between 8 and 10 children. Kindergarten groups will frequently combine with another Kindergarten group for the day. Depending on the field trip, we will frequently take campers to a nearby park for lunch and to play. Buses always leave between 9 and 9:30 a.m. and return before dismissal.

Safety is Camp Funtime’s top concern. Our two Staff Supervisors, who are trained in first aid and CPR, accompany campers and counselors on all field trips. We use Atlantic Express Bus Company to transport our campers to and from field trips. All transportation is in fully insured buses driven by drivers who possess a special license, as established by the Department of Motor Vehicles. All buses are equipped with seat belts.

Wednesdays are field trip days for campers in Kindergarten groups and above at an additional cost of $25.00. If your child is in first grade and above and does not want to attend the field trips, there is NO CAMP that day for your child. Kindergarteners have the option of going on the field trips or staying at camp for a regular day. All campers must wear their Camp Funtime t-shirts on field trips.
