Leadership Training for Teens Entering 9th- 12th Grade
Our Jr. Counselor (JC) Program is designed to provide teens entering 9th- 12th grade in the fall the opportunity to volunteer with children. JC’S are placed into different camper groups each week, giving them the opportunity to experience the different ages and developmental stages of children. JC’S are able to learn hands on from the counselors, working with a different group each week enables the JC to learn different leadership styles of our staff. Weekly meetings are held to provide JC’S with valuable leadership training. During meetings JC’S will discuss different leadership topics as well as discuss how their experience is going in the camp group they are working in that week. This program is a great opportunity for teens who are interested in working with children and who aspire to be a Senior Counselor in the near future.
