CampFuntime@WestmarkSchool.org
For 54 years Camp Funtime has been providing children with a positive, fun-filled, and well-rounded summer program. In a nurturing, child-centered environment, we assist children by teaching team dynamics, respect for others, cooperation, and leadership skills while they develop long-lasting friendships. All of our camp activities are aimed at making camp a fun and enriching place to spend the summer. We at Camp Funtime believe that camp is an invaluable experience in a child’s life and that camp isn’t a place you visit; it’s a place that becomes part of you.

Camp Funtime is located at the Westmark School in Encino on Louise between Burbank and Ventura Boulevard (although the entrance is on Killion Street). The address is 5461 Louise Ave, Encino 91316. See “Location Information” for a map. - What are the ages of the campers?
We offer programs for children ages 3 – 13. - Do you offer transportation?
Although we do not offer transportation, we are located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley and conveniently off the 101 Freeway. We also offer carpool-style drop-off and pick-up so parents do not need to leave their vehicles. - What are the dates of camp?
Camp Funtime runs for 8 weeks starting Monday, June 25th and ending on Friday, August 17th. July 4th is a legal holiday and Camp Funtime will be closed. - What are the daily hours?
Camp starts at 9 am (drop-off begins at 8:30 am), pick-up is between 3:45-4:15 pm. Campers dropped off before 8:30 will be sent to Extended Care, and parents will be charged accordingly. - Do you offer extended care?
We offer Extended Day Care (EDC) from 7:30 am - 8:30 am and afternoon EDC from 4:30 pm – 6 pm for an additional fee. Morning or afternoon care is $10, and both for $14. - Do you provide lunch, snacks or water?
We do not provide lunch or a morning snack. However, you may choose to order your camper a lunch from our lunch program provider, Fresh Lunches. Before pick-up, we will provide every child with a fruit popsicle for his/her afternoon snack. You should send your camper(s) with a snack, lunch and water bottle each day.
Throughout the day we will provide plenty of water for your child(ren). There are coolers of ice water set up around campus. Counselors stop on a regular basis to make sure that each camper stays hydrated. It is still recommended that you send your child(ren) with a water bottle. - What are the ages of your counselors?
Each group consists of 2 Senior Counselors (college aged students at least 18 years of age or older), or 1 Senior Counselor and 1 Co-Counselor (entering into his/her senior year of high school, these staff members have had to complete a minimum of 3 years in our Junior counselor program). Each group will also have 1-2 Junior counselors, these are high school students volunteering in our counselor in training program. - What kind of safety precautions do you take to keep children safe at Camp Funtime and on field trips?
Safety is Camp Funtime’s top concern. We are located in a gated facility and have a security guard at the entrance during camp hours. Group size is limited based on the age of the campers, and our ratios follow the standards of the American Camp Association. Staff Supervisors and the Director walk around Camp each day to offer their support and guidance to the staff. All staff go through mandatory training, and the lifeguards and members of the Directors Team are fully-trained in CPR, first aid and AED. Each activity has the means to communicate with the Directors in case of an emergency. Pick-up is controlled so that only people that parents have listed can pick-up their children.
Our two Staff Supervisors accompany campers and counselors on all field trips. We use Atlantic Express Bus Company to transport our campers to and from field trips. All transportation is in fully insured buses driven by drivers who possess a special license, as established by the Department of Motor Vehicles. All buses are equipped with seat belts. - How many campers are in each group?
